Welcome

Welcome

We believe that every child in our community deserves the fundamental right to grow up in a safe and loving environment.

Therefore, our purpose is to ensure that every abused and neglected child that ends up in foster care in Eddy County, through no fault of their own, has that same opportunity.

We are Court Appointed Special Advocates, a volunteer-powered network of committed people--from all walks of life--who believe society has a fundamental obligation to these children.  In advocating for an abused or neglected child, you give that child a voice--and a chance for a better life.

CASA Update on Covid-19

CASA Update on Covid-19

Due to the COVID-19, CASA staff will be working remotely from home starting March 19th through April 3rd. Both offices, Carlsbad and Artesia will be closed during this time. CASA business will continue as usual. We want all our CASA's to be safe and understand how important your work is to our kids. As mentioned by the Volunteer Coordinators last week all visits concerning your cases are to be done by phone, skype, or by other social media for the next two months (March and April). You can reach anyone of us by email or phone. The office phone for each office has been forwarded to our phones. If you or your child need anything let us know and we will make sure it is taken care of. CASA's do not need to attend court but please have your court report ready for the ladies on time so that they can process it in a timely manner. Your volunteer Coordinator will attend court and let you know what occurred. This is a very difficult time for everyone and we wish everyone the best of health. Easter bags will be completed by staff and mailed out to the children
